Automation for Actinic: How do I automatically email my supplier/drop shipper PDFs of my orders?

Automation for Actinic can automatically send emails to 3rd parties. If you use a fulfilment house, drop shipper or another department within your company this will allow you to get your orders processed without you having to do anything with your online shop (or be out of the office).

The following example shows how to send a single PDF containing multiple packing lists, each packing list containing details of each downloaded from your website.

What you need to do is the following:

1 Run Automation for Actinic.
2 In the bottom right hand corner click on Batch Order Processing.
3 In the Order Processing area tick Email Reports.
4 Click on Options.
5 Select the Email Orders - Print Options tab.
6 In the Reports to Email tick Packing List.
7 In the Email Options tick Create 1 email for all orders.
8 Tick Save copies.
9 In the Email File Format select PDF.
10 Click on Setup Email and make sure that you are using an smtp server. See the following link for more information:

11 Select the Email Orders - Email Options tab.
12 Enter the 3rd party email details. It is always a good idea to enter a CC address as yourself so that you have a record of what was sent and also so that you can monitor the initial emails that are sent your suppler.
13 Select OK on the options dialog.
14 Select Close on the One Stop Automation Batch Order Processor.
15 Select Options on the main Automation for Actinic dialog.
16 Edit the task (or the main task that you want to add this feature to).
17 Make sure that Order Processing is ticked in the Tasks to run area.
18 In the Order Processing area make sure that Batch Order Processing is ticked.
19 Select OK.
20 Select the Order Processing tab.
21 Make sure that Run Batch Order Processing is ticked in the Run Mole End Utilities area.
22 Select OK.

NOTE: If you are using integrated label paper and use the packing list as the report that contains the label the person who receives the email can simply print the PDF onto the paper at their site (and hence make their packing process easier).
