Error when sending email

Error when sending email

"Can't send message (533 sorry that domain is not in my list of allowed rcpthosts)"

If you get this error when you try to send email, the SMTP server you have specified in your email settings may not be allowing relays. To fix this use a different SMTP server. You can usually use your ISP's email server to send but if you cannot then you could use Yahoo.

Using Yahoo to send email

You can send email using yahoo and use a sent by (and return email address) as your current email address. To do this do the following:

1. Create a yahoo email account by using the following link:

https://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?&.src=ym&.intl=uk

2. In your Email settings use the smtp server as smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk, and use your yahoo name (not including the yahoo.co.uk) and password.

3. You then need to tell yahoo that you are going to be sending email using a different return address. This is explained below:

. Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page and select Mail/More Options.
. From the list on the left, click Accounts.
. Click Add Account at the top of the page
. Enter your email addresss in Your 'From' name: field
. Enter the name for the account in the Account name:field
. Click the Save button to put your new settings into effect.
