Product Mash: How do I track (through Google Analytics) the traffic and sales that each of the shopping directories send?

In order to do this you need to add tracking parameters on to the end of each product URL.

There is a new feature available in Product Mash that will allow you to do this. You can add a custom variable to the feed that will replace one of the standard feed fields and the product link is one of these.

To Do this:

Go to 'Feed Options' for the feed and add a new custom variable by pressing 'Add',
- Use the 'Select Standard Variable' drop-down to choose the one called 'link'.
- Set the variable to use text but put use this text :

!!Link!!?Feedname

Where feedname is 'Google base' or 'Shopzilla' or whichever one you are currently configuring.

Now when the feed is generated you should have a link that can you can track with Google Analytics.
