How to create a Html email
The best way to create an HTML customer email is to let Order Processing for Actinic or Automation for Actinic create one for you.
To do this, when you create a customer email template (in the Customer Email options) type in the name of a file that does not exist (in the Store message as field in the Customer Email dialog). This will then ask Do you want to create a template for your email?. If you click Yes this will then ask Do you want to create an HTML email template?. If you click Yes an HTML email will be created with all the possible field macros available. If you click No a plain text email will be generated (with available macros for order information).
You can then change the HTML email using Front Page, Dream Weaver, MS Word etc..
To send html emails you must send the email using an smtp server rather than your email client (e.g MS Outlook). To do this you should setup your email settings (in the Customer Email options dialog) by clicking on the Setup Email button. You can then enter your smtp settings. These can normally be taken from your email client. More information on setting this up at:
